After YourĀ Reiki SessionĀ
You've just spent an hour letting your energy clear and rebalance. The session doesn't stop when you get off the table. Here's what tends to happen next.
What to expect
Most people feel calm and a bit dreamy for the rest of the day. Some feel lighter. Some feel wonderfully tired and sleep like a rock that night.
You might notice emotions coming up over the next day or two. A bit weepy, a bit irritable, or just quieter than usual. That's old energy moving, and it passes. Let it come and let it go rather than trying to work out what it means.
Some people feel nothing dramatic at all and then realise a week later that something has shifted. That counts too.
What helps
Drink plenty of water and go gently on yourself for the rest of the day.
Get outside if you can. Bare feet on grass, or near the water. Both help your body feel grounded and calm.
Keep the afternoon quiet if that's possible. Big crowds and hard conversations can feel like a lot straight after a session.
Write down anything that comes up. Not to analyse it, just to get it out of your head.
Rest without guilt. Your energy has done some work and it needs time to integrate.
When to book again
If you're working through something specific, three sessions spaced one to two weeks apart gives it real momentum.
Once you're feeling steady, every four to six weeks keeps your energy clear and your boundaries strong, without you having to think about it.
And if a week comes along where you've absorbed everyone else's stress and you can feel it, book then. You'll know.
